The skin no longer binds him.
By land he is embraced again.
Wind looked at his ashes and
recognized him.
The solemn faces all around
only betray their helplessness
to place him everywhere.
I had taken my shoes off
as a mark of respect.
It puzzles me, to see
a new layer of dust on them.
