  • Applegarth, Ann served as poet-in-residence for the High Plains Writing Project at Eastern New Mexico University and where she teaches poetry classes to adults and children.

  • Barbato, Melanie has an academic background in the study of religion and philosophy. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford and is currently finishing up her doctoral thesis.
  • Beyer, Thomas A. was a founding member of The Exiles in June 2012 in an effort to carry on some semblance of the College of St. Thomas More's singular legacy of the love of learning and truth.
  • Bradley, Eric W. had his first work published in pilgrim this past spring. He currently teaches theology and philosophy at a Catholic high school in Connecticut.
  • Bryant, Cathy has won eighteen literary awards, and her work has appeared in over 200 publications.

  • Carlson, Donald holds a PhD in Literature from the University of Dallas. He is a former Fellow in Literature at the College of Saint Thomas More.
  • Chaney, Thomas graduated from the College of St. Thomas More in 2007, and is currently pursuing a MA in Philosophy at the University of Dallas.
  • Claflin, Suzi is an appreciative poet. She is a word collector, a writing enthusiast, and an omnivorous book consumer.
  • Collignon, Mark was educated at the College of St. Thomas More. He received the rank of Eagle Scout and has received recognition for involvement in many charitable organizations.
  • Collier, Bethany is an American who currently lives and teaches English in Central America.

  • Davis Jr., John has appeared in literary journals internationally, and he holds an MFA from University of Tampa.
  • Doreski, William teaches at Keene State College. His most recent book of poetry is The Suburbs of Atlantis (2013). He has also published three critical studies.
  • Dunbar, Jenny spent her career as a freelance performing arts professional and now writes and lives in the UK and France, two landscapes which greatly inspire what she writes about.

  • Elkin, J. C. is an optimist, linguist, singer, and founder of the Broadneck Writers’ Workshop.

  • McFetridge, G. D. writes from his wilderness home in Montana's Sapphire Mountains. His fiction and essays are published across America, in Canada and the UK.
  • Feeler, William teaches English and Humanities at Midland College (Texas).
  • Filar, Margarita is majoring in English Literature. She has a great interest in Literature and the Classical languages, and enjoys writing. Other interests include calligraphy and gardening.

  • Grey, John is an Australian born poet who was recently published in Paterson Literary Review, Southern California Review and Natural Bridge.
  • Guy, Jake is interested mostly in film, but also photography, prose, piano, guitar, acting, inks, watercolor, and listening to every possible Billie Holiday and Tom Waits song on Earth.

  • Hardin, Dave is a Michigan poet and artist. His poems and paintings have appeared in 3 Quarks Daily, The Drunken Boat, Epigraph Magazine, Slippage, Arbor Literary Magazine, and Detroit Metro Times among others.
  • Hawke, Margaret, a retired nurse, was a contributing writer for Nurse.com, formerly known as Nursing Spectrum, a Gannett syndicated magazine for nurses from 1992 through 2006.
  • Hines, Gene holds academic degrees in History, Theology, and Law and has served as a pastor, a missionary, and as a legal aid attorney. His stories appear in print and online journals.
  • Hlymbicky, Risa is a graduate of the University of Windsor’s English Language and Literature program. She writes short stories, novels, poetry, essays, and non-fiction pieces.

  • Johal, Romandeep. has written or coauthored about 45 research papers in peer reviewed international journals.
  • Johnson, Michael Lee is a poet, freelance writer, photographer, and small business owner of custom imprinted promotional products and apparel in Itasca, Illinois.

  • Lang, Leonard has had poetry appear in such magazines as Cimarron Review, Visions-International, and The Journal, and his work was selected for a national best-of-year anthology.
  • Larsen, Pernille currently pursues her MFA in poetry at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
  • Ledek, Ron has taught philosophy for over twenty years. His writings include books on conscience and its relation to God; and on the thoughts of Newman, Nietzsche, Freud, and Heidegger.
  • Levinson, Nancy Smiler is author of numerous books for young readers. Stories and creative nonfiction have appeared in a range of magazines and newspapers, as well.
  • Lie, Emily is a writer living in Fort Worth. She is a member of the Exiles, with whom she meets regularly to share and critique her writings.

  • Marlon, Brandon Brandon Marlon is a poet, playwright, screenwriter, and novelist from Ottawa, Canada. He his B.A. (Hon.) in Drama and English from the University of Toronto and his M.A. in English from the University of Victoria.

  • Mermelstein, Simon Simon Mermelstein’s has poetry in RHINO, Spillway, Cleaver, The MacGuffin, FreezeRay, Mobius, Light, Poems-For-All, Parody, and the nebulous “other places”.
  • Mooney, Sharon has poems forthcoming in Modern Age and First Things and has had poems appear in Ruminate, The Lyric, Pudding Magazine, Christian Research Journal, and other publications.
  • Morrison, Tyler in 2012 became the last graduate of the College of Saint Thomas More. In addition to his poetry, he is currently writing his first album and play.
  • Mullikin, B. R. received his BA from the College of St. Thomas More. He is currently finishing his Masters of Arts in Humanities at the University of Dallas.
  • Murdoch, Jim is a Scottish writer living just outside Glasgow. His poetry appeared regularly in small press magazines during the seventies and eighties.

  • Nicholas, Lisa is a life-long lover of reading, literature, and stories well-told. She earned her PhD in literature from the Institute of Philosophic Studies at the University of Dallas
  • Nicholson, Andrew is a 40-year-old writer, performer, and sometime experimental musician. He published one book of poetry entitled Return to Kemptownin 2010.
  • Nicola, James B. has had 300 poems published in periodicals including Atlanta Review, Tar River, Texas Review, Lyric, and Nimrod. His book Playing the Audience won a Choice Award.

O

  • O’Brien, Dorene has won numerous awards for her fiction, including the international Bridport Prize, the Chicago Tribune Nelson Algren Award, and other awards.
  • Onulak, Ted worked for fifteen years on US Refugee programs. He speaks six languages and has interpreted a wide variety of texts for many Russian delegations, artists and refugees.

  • Penick, Douglas was a research associate at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and studied and practiced under Tibetan Buddhist teachers for 30 years.
  • Perkins II, Richard King is a state-sponsored advocate for residents in long-term care. His work has appeared in hundreds of publications including Prime Mincer and Sierra Nevada Review.
  • Pescatore, Tom is an active member of the growing underground poetry scene in the city of Philadelphia, and hopes to spread the word on Philadelphia’s new poets.
  • Poore, Amanda Grace undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Arlington focused on creative writing and screenwriting. She is currently writing a fantasy novel entitled The Coin.
  • Pynn, Irene L. writes fantasy and light science fiction for adults, young adults, and children. Her work spans novels, plays, transmedia events, and more.

  • Royal, Keith L. is a preacher’s husband, father to a female Basenji and Lab mix, and an Assistant Instructor at a local community college.
  • Rupp, Nathaniel Black is the Editor-in-Chief of The Contraposition Literary Magazine. His chapbook “Yesterday's Coffee” was published with Budget Press.

  • Shank, Dr. Judith Stewart has taught literature and philosophy for twenty-seven years. She is a frequent participant in Liberty Fund colloquia.
  • Shannon, Ron has an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University. Recently, he has published short fiction at clevermag.com and in the short story anthology Hazard Yet Forward.
  • Shivone, Stephen received his Ph.D. in Literature from the Institute of Philosophic Studies at the University of Dallas.
  • Solari, Chiara spends her days attempting to instill a love of literature and classical languages in the students of a private Catholic school in North Idaho.
  • Solomon, Gerald was born in London and studied English Literature at Cambridge University. He also worked as a producer at the BBC.
  • Stocks, John is a UK based poet who has had work published in magazines worldwide. He has been widely anthologised.
  • Stromberg, Maria graduated from the College of Saint Thomas More in 2004 with a BA in Liberal Arts. She has a MA in Literature from the University of Dallas and is a PhD candidate.

  • Thompson, A. M. An American poet/writer whose work has been published in Europe and the U.S. (ardor, Blast Furnace, Leopard Seal, Mezzo Cammin, Philosophy After Dark).

  • Verona, Emily Ruth received her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Cinema Studies from The State University of New York at Purchase.
  • Vick, Jane was raised in California and currently spends most of her time in New Mexico getting idea-wild at St. John’s College. E. E. Cummings is her favorite author.

  • Weitzman, Sarah Brown has have had close to three hundred poems published over the years in numerous journals such as The Mid-American Review, The North American Review, etc.
  • Woods, Mary Jessica has published both short fiction and poetry in the young writer’s magazine Stone Soup, and won the 2012 Homeschool Legal Defense Association Poetry Contest.

  • Yuan, Changming is a 6-time Pushcart nominee and author of Chansons of a Chinaman (2009) and Landscaping (2013), holds a PhD in English, and co-edits Poetry Pacific.
